When was RITA Founded?
The Rhode Island Troopers Association was founded in 1971.
Who are the Association Members?
The founding body consisted of a group of courageous men and women that began the RITA in order to better the working conditions for Troopers who worked six days a week and lived at the barracks.
Do you have board members?
We have four members of the Executive Board.

Does RITA do any events and fundraising?
The Rhode Island Troopers Association currently participates in various charity events and raises money for many local and state charitable causes. Examples of these successful causes include, the Special Olympics of Rhode Island, Cops for Kids with Cancer, Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD) and various other local youth activities.

Our Mission is to vigilantly protect, promote, and improve the working conditions, legal rights, compensation and benefits of Rhode Island Troopers Association.
